The JEE Advanced exam is given only once a year in May, while the JEE Main exam is given twice a year in January and April. The exam gauges a candidate’s proficiency in arithmetic, physics, and chemistry. One of the important criteria for admission to the best engineering colleges in India is a JEE score.

The Joint Entrance Examination, also known as JEE, is a competitive entrance exam used in India to determine admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at different engineering institutes. It is one of the most difficult entrance exams in the nation and is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Main and JEE Advanced are the two sections of the test.

For admission to Indian Institutes of Technology, JEE Main is the first stage of the exam, and JEE Advanced is the second and final stage (IITs). For admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by NITs, IITs, and other top engineering institutes in India, the National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the JEE Main exam at the national level. In January and April of each year, the exam is given. JEE Advanced, the entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology, requires passing JEE Main as a prerequisite (IITs).
