CTET ( Central Teacher Eligibility )

Central Teacher Eligibility Test is referred to as CTET. For candidates seeking to work as teachers in elementary and upper primary schools in India, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts a national entrance exam. On the basis of their knowledge and comprehension of the teaching profession and pertinent disciplines, the exam evaluates candidates’ eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria for CTET For  Primary Level

• Senior Secondary OR (Its Equivalent) with at Least 50% Marks & Passed OR Appearing in Final Year Of 2 Year Diploma In Elementary Education.
• OR Senior Secondary (Its Equivalent) with At Least 45% Marks & Passed OR Appearing in Final Year of 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education As Per NCTE 2002 Norms OR
• Senior Secondary OR (Its Equivalent) with At Least 50% Marks & Passed OR Appearing in Final Year of 4 Year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
• OR Senior Secondary (Its Equivalent) with at Least 50% Marks & Passed OR Appearing in Final Year Of 2 Year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
• Graduate & Passed OR Appearing Final Year Of 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education
• OR Graduation Degree with 50% Marks & B.Ed (Bachelor Degree in Education)

Eligibility Criteria for CTET For  Secondary Level

• Bachelor Degree & Passed OR Appearing in Final Year of 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education (By Whatever Name Known) OR
• Graduation with 50% Marks & Passed OR Appearing in 1 Year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
• Graduation with 45% Marks & Passed OR Appearing in 1 Year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in Accordance with the NCTE Norms OR
• Senior Secondary OR (Its Equivalent) with At Least 50% Marks & Passed OR Appearing in Final Year of 4 Year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
• Senior Secondary OR (Its Equivalent) with At Least 50% Marks & Passed OR Appearing in Final Year of 4 Year B.A / B.Sc. Ed. OR B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. OR

CTET Answer Key 2023

The validity period of CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) certificate is 7 years from the date of result declaration. The validity period starts from the date of declaration of result by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which conducts CTET. After 7 years, the certificate will no longer be valid and the candidate will have to re-appear in the CTET exam for appointment as a teacher in central government schools. This is important to note that many states have different rules regarding the validity period of the CTET certificate, and you should check with the state government about their rules.
